About Us:

Maiven makes climate policy simple, timely, and actionable. We believe policy is the highest-leverage driver of climate action - policies force companies to take action and Maiven builds software to enable that lever. We continuously track 500k+ climate policies worldwide  (and growing fast) and use expert-guided AI to surface what matters to each customer, then turn it into source-grounded briefs, risk/opportunity scores and deadlines so companies can act. Under the hood: legislative ingestion → custom entity extraction → document embeddings + vector search → a proprietary relevance model → LLM reasoning. We launched in April 2025, ship weekly, have paying customers, and are backed by Pale Blue Dot, Ada Ventures, Tiny VC, and angels with an oversubscribed £1.5M pre-seed.

Where we are now (and what’s next)

• Now: MVP validated with early customers; we have a large database of policies, and features including a policy relevance algorithm and impact insights are live.
• Next: Extend and scale. A mix of new feature development and maturing what’s already in production. You will both build new modules and extend existing features where it makes sense. We bias to shipping value weekly while paying down the right debt along the way.

The Opportunity:

If you see policy as the key lever for climate impact, this is where your code directly pulls that lever, turning shifting regulation into action at global scale. As a Product Engineer at Maiven, you’ll help set our technical foundation, shape the product and influence how we build as a team, working alongside a team that deeply cares about helping people develop and succeed.

What You'll Do:

• Lead Development: Architect, build, and maintain scalable fullstack applications, (primarily Typescript ****on AWS).
• Collaborate across disciplines: Pair with policy specialists and ML/Data engineers; occasionally contribute to Python services (no prior ML experience required).
• Own problems end to end: From understanding the policy and user context to delivering production code and measuring impact.
• Stay close to customers: iterate quickly based on feedback and usage data.
